architects, Chris Linvill and Mike Pond, have worked
together for nearly a decade, and have over 30 years
experience between them in the architecture, design, and
construction industries.
The Process
Throughout the architectural phases and into design during construction of your project, we endeavor to help our clients realize the practical side of their program without losing sight of the overall character of the home. We achieve this goal by combining an extensive knowledge of our surrounding neighborhoods, an expertise of historically sensitive design, an on-going strong working relationship with local municipalities, and a practical sense for space planning.
For clients wanting to benefit from our Design Build
process, Linvill & Pond Architects and
Berkeley Design Build offer a seamless approach to architectural
design and full service general contracting. Although our
architecture and general contracting companies officially operate
separately, you will work with a single managing Architect/GC who
oversees the entire process and budget – from conceptual design
through construction completion.
However, if a client prefers to utilize a traditional
competitive bid process, Linvill & Pond Architects
provides design and drawing/documentation
services, which guide the client through bidding,
contract negotiation and construction. This delivery
approach can require higher levels of detailed drawings and
specification documentation so that contractor bids can
be accurately and equally evaluated.
